About the GFFA

The Global Forum for Food and Agriculture (GFFA) is an international conference on central issues of vital importance for global agricultural and food policies. It is held in Berlin on an annual basis at the same time as the International Green Week (IGW).

The GFFA is hosted by the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL) in cooperation with the Berlin Senate, Messe Berlin GmbH and the GFFA Berlin e.V.

The forum features a large number of events that provide an international audience of experts from the worlds of politics, business, science and civil society with an opportunity to address and reach consensus on issues and challenges relating to global agricultural policy and food security.

High-ranking guests, such as Prince Charles, Ban Ki-moon, Angela Merkel and Josefa Sacko have in recent years contributed to GFFA with keynotes speeches.

Especially in times of crisis, the GFFA as a global event format stands for international cooperation and multilateral solutions.
