The many publicly accessible event segments of the digital GFFA 2021 will be livestreamed on this website and will be accessible free of charge and without a password. Here you will find an overview of the entire programme.
You can participate with any digital device. The most convenient way to participate is with a PC / laptop.

Please use the most up-to-date version of your internet browser. We recommend using Firefox or Chrome.

Make sure you have a stable internet connection, preferably using a LAN cable. Close all programmes you don’t need to keep your connection stable.

No prior registration is required to watch the live stream of the public event segments on the website.
You can actively participate in almost all public segments of the event (with the exception of the Berlin Agriculture Ministers’ Conference and the concluding press conference on 22.1.2021). For this purpose, registration is required. After your registration you can

  • use the chat function via Slido during the ongoing event segments
  • participate in polls via Slido during the ongoing event segments
  • attend Deep Dives to speak directly with the speakers
  • network with other interested parties.
To actively participate in the event, please follow these steps:

When you are logged in, you will see the “Interaction” bar to the right of the streaming window. Under the “Q&A and Polls” tab, you will find the interaction option via Slido. Under Q&A, you have the option to post questions and comments via Slido. Live polls are conducted in different event parts. If a poll has gone live, you can participate in it at that moment.
Please observe the common rules of “netiquette” when using the chat function. That is, please do not use insults, “shout” in capital letters or advertise. Refrain from lengthy discussions, keep your comments short and please use correct language. Respectful treatment of other participants and moderators of the chat should be a matter of course.
Deep Dives are provided following Expert Panels and High Level Panels as well as the Science Slam. The Deep Dives make it possible to get in touch directly with a speaker or panellist from the event. In the Slido chat, links for a zoom meeting with one speaker at a time will be posted shortly before the end of each event. Clicking on the link will take you directly to the Zoom meeting. Here you have the opportunity to ask questions directly to the respective speaker via microphone or chat.
Click here to enter the networking page. Once you are logged in you can complete your personal profile with e.g. your position, organisation / company, country of origin or networking goals.

You can then search and filter for other participants and interact with them via private chat.

The networking system can also be found to the right of the streaming window under the “Networking” tab.

In the upper right corner of the Networking window you will find the button “Your Profile”.

Clicking this button will take you to a page where you can enter contact information and other details about your areas of work and interests. The more complete your profile information is, the easier other participants with similar fields of work or interests will find you.

All public portions of the GFFA 2021 digital event will be recorded and available approximately 48 hours after on the website.

Deep dives and chats will not be recorded and cannot be accessed after the event.
